January Jones was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota but grew up in the village of Mount Rushmore during its first ten years. Then the family moved back to Sioux Falls, the largest city in South Dakota. She is the daughter of Karen, who runs a sporting goods store, and Marvin Jones, a coach, physical education teacher. He has two sisters: Jacey and Jina.
