West first rose to fame as a producer for Roc- A- Fella Records, where he eventually achieved recognition for his work on Jay-Z's album The Blueprint , as well as hit singles for musical artists including Alicia Keys, Ludacris , and Janet Jackson. His style of production originally used vocal samples from soul music songs along with their own samples of drums and other instruments . The following production was gradually expanded its range of influences , ranging from R & B samples 1970s , baroque pop , trip hop , arena rock, folk, electronic , synth pop and classical music.
Kanye West released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004 , continuing in 2005 Late Registration , Graduation in 2007 , 808s & Heartbreak in 2008 , My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in 2010 , Watch the Throne ( with Jay -Z) in 2011 and Cruel Summer ( with GOOD Music) in 2012, while the June 18, 2013 will release his sixth solo studio album , Yeezus . All have received numerous awards , including 21 Grammys , making it the rapper who has won more awards , exceeding 13 Eminem and Jay Z (2010), and has been critically acclaimed .
